En 2023, el Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Tecnológica (Concytec) de Perú destinó 224 millones 699,347 soles para impulsar la ciencia, tecnología e innovación, marcando un aumento del 70% en comparación con 2022. A través del Programa Nacional de Investigación Científica y Estudios Avanzados (ProCiencia), se respaldaron 324 proyectos en 11 concursos públicos, abarcando áreas como contaminación ambiental, biofertilizantes, reciclaje, neurociencias, entre otras. La inversión también se canalizó hacia el fortalecimiento del Sistema Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (Sinacti), incluyendo la adquisición de equipamiento y capacitación para laboratorios en diversas regiones del país. Se llevaron a cabo foros y encuentros para fortalecer la ciencia abierta y se promovió la colaboración entre institutos públicos de investigación.
