La emergencia ocurri\u00f3 en la madrugada del 25 de diciembre, interrumpiendo las celebraciones navide\u00f1as. Adem\u00e1s de las viviendas, otros inmuebles y terrenos de cultivo resultaron afectados. Miguel Celis, de la Municipalidad de Tapuc, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que m\u00e1s de 10 viviendas de adobe fueron inundadas, con da\u00f1os a bienes y p\u00e9rdidas de animales y cultivos.
